Ian collects you from home, school, work or college, so the lesson starts as soon as you get in the car. Every lesson is one-to-one in the Mini, with dual controls on Ian’s side.
Coastal Mini covers Southport, Birkdale, Crosby, Formby, Crossens, Churchtown and the surrounding areas. Teaching hours are flexible and can include evenings and weekends.

How much does a lesson cost?
A 1 hour lesson costs £42.50. You can also book a block of 5, 10 or 20 hours, which brings the hourly price down.
Where do lessons start?
Ian can pick you up from home, school, work or college anywhere in Southport, Birkdale, Crosby, Formby, Crossens, Churchtown and the surrounding areas.
What car will I learn in?
A black Mini with dual controls and the Coastal Mini roof sign. It is small and easy to handle, which makes it a good car to learn in.
Can I have lessons in the evening or at the weekend?
Yes. Teaching hours are flexible and can include evenings and weekends.
Is it cheaper to book a block of lessons?
Yes. 5 hours cost £210, 10 hours cost £400 and 20 hours cost £780, which works out at less than £42.50 an hour.
What if I need to cancel?
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to change or cancel a lesson, or the lesson is charged. Emergencies and difficult situations are always given consideration.
